How to get to Isla Hayahay Resort
The quickest way is to take a fast ferry from Cebu Port Pier 3 to Tubigon. This ferry will take you to Tubigon Port. The boat trip will take around 1 hour.
From Tubigon, the resort is only a 20 minutes drive away. Pangangan Island is connected to Calape on Bohol Island with a causeway (marked in RED on the picture on the left side), which makes the island reachable by car.
When you come from one of the other islands you probably need to travel to Tagbilaran.
From Tagbilaran Port or Tagbilaran Airport to the resort takes only a 1 hour and 15 minutes drive.
When you come to Bohol and want to save a few bucks on your transport it is, of course, possible to get to Isla Hayahay Beach Resort & Restaurant by public transport.
At Tagbilaran Port or Airport, take a tricycle to the bus terminal. There you can take a white mini van (NOT recommended) or a yellow bus to Calape. In Calape, take a tricycle to our resort.
Total travel time will be 2 – 2 1/2 hours, depending on the day you travel and the traffic.
At Tubigon Port you can take a tricycle or a white van (NOT recommended) to the resort.
Travel time with a tricycle is about 1 hour 15 minutes. Travel time with a van about 30 minutes.
The reason we really NOT recommend traveling with the white vans it the way the drivers (pilots) drive. On two lane roads with lots of traffic, tricycles, motorbikes and lots of dogs, chicken and children they manage to drive between 80 and 120 km/h which is totally irresponsible.
The yellow buses did the same but in the last months they started to drive much more responsible and there were almost no issues. (December 2017).
